Download the Chrome extension

Download for Chrome holochart-0.3.2-chrome.zip

Unzip it

Double-click the downloaded ZIP — a folder named holochart-0.3.2-chrome appears next to it.

Open the extensions page

Type chrome://extensions in your address bar and press Enter.

This URL works identically in Chrome, Edge (edge://extensions), and Brave (brave://extensions).

Enable Developer Mode

Toggle "Developer mode" in the top-right corner of the extensions page. The page reloads with extra buttons.

Load the extension

Click "Load unpacked" → navigate to and select the extracted holochart-0.3.2-chrome folder.

Select the folder itself — not a file inside it.

HoloChart icon appears in your toolbar.Pin it for quick access: click the puzzle piece → pin HoloChart.

Firefox Extension

Install via .xpi file

Download the Firefox extension

Download for Firefox (.xpi) holochart-0.3.2-firefox.xpi

Install the .xpi

In Firefox, go to about:addons → click the ⚙ gear icon → "Install Add-on From File" → select the downloaded .xpi file.

Alternative (temporary install — for testing) Go to about:debugging → "This Firefox" → "Load Temporary Add-on" → select the manifest.json from the extracted ZIP. (Removed when Firefox restarts.)

Confirm permissions

Firefox shows a permission dialog — click "Add". HoloChart requests only page-read access for LLM sites.

HoloChart is installed in Firefox.Open ChatGPT, Claude, or any other LLM and ask a data question to see the chart appear.

Open the DMG and drag to Applications

Double-click HoloChart.dmg → drag the HoloChart icon into the Applications folder shown in the window.

First launch (bypass Gatekeeper — once only)

Right-click HoloChart in Applications → click "Open" → click "Open" again in the security dialog.

This is a one-time step. macOS whitelists the app permanently afterwards — future launches work normally by double-clicking.

Grant Accessibility access

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility → toggle HoloChart on.

Needed to read LLM answers from Claude Desktop, ChatGPT app, and other native apps. The extension does not require this.

HoloChart Desktop is running.It connects to your local LLMs automatically. Look for the HoloChart icon in your menu bar.

Signed installer. If Windows SmartScreen warns you, click "More info" → "Run anyway" — no admin rights required.

Run the installer & choose components

Double-click the downloaded .exe. The installer lets you choose:

Chrome / Edge extension — extracted automatically; a dialog shows you how to load it.
Firefox extension — Firefox opens and asks you to confirm the add-on.

The Desktop App is macOS-only (uses Apple Accessibility APIs). Extensions work identically on Windows.

Complete browser setup

The installer opens the setup guide automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions to load the Chrome extension and/or confirm the Firefox add-on.

Chrome: Load Unpacked in chrome://extensions → select the extracted folder. Firefox: click "Add" in the install dialog.

HoloChart is ready on Windows.Open ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity and ask anything — HoloChart renders charts and tables instantly.
